The world of underground hairstyling…

An interesting article from the New York Times about the underground world of hairstyling that Lena shared with me a while ago… Apparently there are in-demand stylists working at upscale salons who offer discount cuts to customers in their homes, but of course, they don’t tell the salon they work for. And this way, they get to keep the whole cost of the cut and not give any to the salon. I could see these stylists using as a resource to expand their client base by showcasing their work while still maintaining anonymity (ambiguous user name and profile photo); customers could even leave testimonials.
